Recommendation

I have had the privilege of hearing the Backyard Bard do various story telling presentations - the Easter and Christmas narratives, Judges, Daniel, Esther, Jonah, Samuel, and Elijah. They have all been fantastic. I was brought to tears by their telling of the Easter story. I love the Backyard Bard's commitment to letting the power of God's word work it's own effect. I love the way they tell the Bible's story in a way that capitalizes on it's narrative form, and I love how their telling of the story really helps people connect with God within the text. As a preacher, I wish my sermons could be even half as powerful and memorable as a Backyard Bard storytelling!
