Easter according to John

Robert Turnbull

G'day everyone,

Hope you're going well. I had a great time this morning at the "God's Word out LOUD" workshop. We'd love to keep running these courses at churches. So, if you're interested, please email me for details about how The Backyard Bard can partner with your church to train our Bible Readers.

Here's the news:

Easter According to John

Easter According to John

"Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples that are not recorded in this book;
but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God and by believing, you may have life in his name."

Easter is around the corner and we're busy preparing our annual Easter storytelling from John's Gospel. We'll be telling the section from John 18-20. John's eyewitness account is moving and beautiful - it's a joy to tell.

It is perfect for part church services, school chapels or special events over Easter. You could ask us to tell the whole story (about 30 minutes) or just the Resurrection story (about 7 minutes) or something in between.

Please contact me right away if you think your church would be interested. We've already got a few bookings but there's room for quite a number more (especially on Easter Sunday).

But of course, you don't need us to come and tell the Easter story. If you've seen the Backyard Bard in action at least once or twice, then you've got what it takes to give it a go for yourself. Have a go at telling the Resurrection story to your Bible study group, Youth Group or church service. Send me an email if you want some resources to help.

New Website

We've dramatically changed our website.

  • We've changed the look and the feel (though more is still to happen)
  • We've tried to make things easier to find
  • We've added FREE audio downloads

We're hoping to have a lot more material for you to be able to use in the near future.

Please let us know any comments about what's there or requests for content that we don't have.

That's it from me - I'll probably email again before Easter to let you know when you can see the Easter performances.
