Pentecost + Crash Course + Qld Trip + More Philippians

Robert Turnbull

G'day everyone,

Here's the news for this month from The Backyard Bard.

Pentecost

This Sunday is Pentecost and it's a great chance to remember the story which marks the beginning of the worldwide Christian movement. There is still a chance to book in a storytelling of Pentecost for this Sunday. It is quite brief (about 10 minutes) and will probably slot into most church services without need to rearrange much. Please contact me right away if this is something you think your church might be interested in.

Biblical Storytelling Crash Course

We have a public Biblical Storytelling Crash Course coming up near the end of this month. It's fantastic way to have a taste of doing Biblical Storytelling for yourself. It will be lots of fun and may revolutionise how you think about the Bible. Here are the details:

Saturday, June 25th. 10am - 5pm.
St Augustine's Moreland
100 Sydney Rd. Coburg
Cost: $35. No experience necessary!
NB. Lunch is not provided, so you can bring something with you or find something to eat on Sydney Rd.

Queensland Trip

I will be in Brisbane from the 9th to the 12th of July and there is a chance for churches to book in storytelling performances for that weekend - especially on Sunday the 10th of July. If you live in Queensland or know people that do, please let me know and we can see if we can make something happen.

Philippians Storytellings

Simon Camilleri, the Creative Director of The Backyard Bard, still has more performances of his terrific storytelling of the book of Philippians. This has been a wonderful blessing to many people so I urge you to see it while you can.
